Brokerage, charter management and new-construction counsel, from one office on the harbour. Three brokers, no branches, and a market file on every hull we list that you are welcome to read before you decide anything.

She came to us in 2019 and we have handled her twice since. The owner has ordered a larger displacement hull out of Viareggio and wants this one settled before she goes east to Fort Lauderdale in the spring. That is the whole story — there is no quieter reason she is available.
Marrone built her as the seventh of a fourteen-boat series, and the series had its faults sorted by then. She holds twelve knots in a beam sea without argument and the engine room is the room guests remember, which tells you what kind of boat she is. Two owners have taken her to Mexico in winter; neither had to call anybody.

What we do
We list, and we buy.
On a listing you get a real market file, a photographer who has shot boats before, and a broker who answers the phone on a Sunday. On a purchase you get an honest read on what the survey is going to find before you have paid for the survey.
Nine programmes under management.
Crew, MCA paperwork, insurance and the calendar, and one statement a month that you can actually read. Owners who charter with us average sixteen weeks. We will tell you plainly if your boat is not a charter boat, because most of them are not.
If you are ordering a hull, we sit on your side of the table.
Yard selection, specification, payment milestones, and the three or four decisions that cost the most to reverse later. Eleven builds supervised in Italy, Holland and Turkey. We are paid by you, not by the yard, and we put that in writing.
The register
Three of us, and the one you call is the one who shows you the boat, writes the offer and sits in on the survey.
Principal broker
Started on the fuel dock at Dana Point the summer after high school and never left. Founded Meridian in 1996 with one listing and a desk borrowed from the harbourmaster. Handles the displacement fleet and most of the repeat business.

Charter management
Ran a 130-foot programme in the Caribbean for six seasons before coming ashore. Knows what a crew really costs, what a season really nets, and which weeks are worth holding back for the owner.

New construction
Trained as a marine engineer in Genoa. Spends about four months a year at yards in Viareggio and Makkum, which is why the specification sheets that leave this office are the length they are.

The office is on the water at Dana Point. Call and we will meet you at the gate — most of the fleet is a five-minute walk from the desk, and we would rather you stood on the deck than read about it. If you would sooner write first, this reaches all three of us.
